Do you mean Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour? I didn't know there were any left anymore. The one here closed about five years ago. We had three in town in Salt Lake when I was a kid. What a fun place!

from the offices of: Toshiro Nakamura Vice President of Acquisition Dept. Honda Corp. Tokyo, Japan
Dear Sirs,
We at Honda were surprised that the news of our talks between Mr. Willie G. Davidson and ourselves at Honda Corporation has become common knowledge for public consumption.
We at Honda had assumed that before the recent outcry by the American Public regarding the security of your American shipping ports of entry, that ANYTHING was for sale in your country, INCLUDING a certain American motorcycle brand headquarted in Milwaukee WI.
But after an internal review of our goals, and the aftermath of your government's internal review of the your afforementioned port security issues, we at Honda Corporation felt that the timing may not be right at this juncture for this acquisition of Harley Davidson Motor Company Inc., and so all talks between our two parties have been shelved at this time.
Yours Truly, Toshiro Nakamura VP Honda Corp Tokyo, Japan
(oh and BTW...prease say herro to Greybeard for me...Thank you)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

We all laugh at our Harley buddies but in Japan it's even worse. When I was last there (about 12 years ago) some Air Force weenie had his Harley shipped over there and was getting OUTRAGIOUS offers for it from the locals. He planned to sell it before he left for enough money to buy two Harleys when he got back to the States.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Can you imagine if that happened......how would harley owners be able to turn thier noses up at us anymore !!! Any arrogance from them and all we'd have to do is say "hey buddy, nice rice burner ya got there". LOL! God that would kill them. But american made bikes would probably triple in value.
