Out and about on '00 T-bird Sport this afternoon... man these bikes are just too much fun. I had fine tuned the valves and tweaked the carbs on this one a few years back and it will still take your breath when you roll the throttle on.
"Whistlers" I call the old 900 cc triples.. the distinctive sound of the cam chain goes from a purr to a whistle with just a twist of the throttle.
Just get tucked in and hold on cause the thing eats twisties and has plenty of torque to get you out of the pockets. I could get into real trouble with this bike...
Anyways.. Well done Triumph! Whatever else you've done, you got this one right.

My friend suggested I buy one of the T-bird triples instead of an America when I was looking for a bike.Unfortunately I couldn't reach the mid-mount pegs with my busted knee.They are supposed to be one of the Triumph"Greats",like the Bonneville,Original speed twin etc.

I've always liked the 900 triples but they are almost impossible to find for sale. No one who has one wants to part with them!
