They are rolling the dice big and probably paying him larger. I just did a search here in Ontario on Kijiji and there are 10 Royal Enfields for sale, there are 10+ Pages of Triumphs. Still I think they would make a good bobber.

last week, while getting new tires, I was asked if I wanted to take out a demo bike. I was shown a beautiful new, bright red Royal Enfield continental GT. I was told this was the most powerful in their line up!
I was a fun bike to ride and would good if:

you had never been on a modern motorcycle before

you have no need or desire to go over 60 mph

were already looking to buy a scooter

have no need to pull out into traffic fast (because it won't do it)

want to just look cool riding around town (and you would)

the bike did not suit my personal needs. however if I lived in town I would not be opposed to the classic model in maroon and chrome. The bike looks stunning. It would also look good in the front room or on a back bar.

I tested a C5 a few years ago & my impression was pretty close to yours.

Yep. I have long admired the look of the Enfields. But they're about 3 sizes too small for me and way under-powered. Never mind the quality control issues.
