What is the trick for changing the fluid in the rear brake on an 06 America if doing it alone? I can't be on both sides of the bike pumping the pedal and opening and closing the bleed valve.

'06 America, Raask foot controls, the bike use to be Graphite and Silver, now its Red and Black.

The bleeder nipples that have a one way valve, FastEddy sells worked fine for me. Just run a fuel line or Aquarium hose from the nipple into a catch basin to avert a mess.

All you have to do is put a piece of tubing on the bleeder and put it in a clean glass jar with brake fluid in it. Make sure the tube stays below the fluid level and pump the brake. The tube being under the fluid level prevents air from being sucked back in but allows air out. When the air bubbles out of the end of the tube it rises through the fluid, once no more bubbles the brakes are bled.

I use a vac bleeder...just make sure to maintain at least a minimum level in the reservoir, so air does not get sucked into the brake line.

Wouldn't that suck the old fluid back in when you release the pedal?

Not really, there is no positive return on the linkage to reverse the piston. There may be some backwards flow, but minuscule. And THAT's why the tubing needs to be submerged always in the jar so it won't suck up air.
