I have seen finned exhaust collars for the t-100 triumphs; but I have not for the TBA, does anyone make homemade one's for sale? or old finned collars that would fit the TBA?

I bought a set of the BIG ones. I believe they're 1 3/4" i.d., and should slip over our pipes, but the heat shields would have to come off. SOOO..., MY plan, to avoid that, and having to remove the header pipe [(header studs allowing) lol], is to cut them into two halves, drilling and tapping for set-screws, and just installing them over the header pipe without removing sh1t! I believe the oil banjo thingy has to be loosened and rotated counter clockwise to avoid hitting the fins.

If I may suggest, drill the holes first, then counterbore for the cap screw heads, then make the slices for a good marriage on the holes and lastly tap the threads. Sounds pretty close to the sequence for good results to me. Let me know if I got it right.

Only thing I might do differently is tap the threads before the slice then drill the threads out of the counter bored side.

More than one road to the same town. Your method might achieve a better alignment on the fasteners and halves.

Yes. My intentions were to do ALL the set screw work first, and make the cut last. And yes, I would use small, Allen Head screws, with the one half counter bored for the head size and drilled out threads. But I KNEW ya'll didn't need the details!

I made mine by doing all the turning work first. Then milling the fins and drilling, tapping and c-boring the screw holes. Then I sawed them in half. it was necessary to remove the OEM heat shields.
