We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I was just wondering if the helmet latching mechanism was discombobulated and rurnt in a scruff would the EMT's have a hard time getting it open ? May hafta get a saw and cut it off and that may mess up your hair and head skin sorta. Just wondering.

I'm not a fan of full helmets, but this IS a good design! I'm a work in progress...I never wore a helmet for twenty years, then I wore a half helmet that felt comfortable enough, now I found a 3/4 helmet that is comfortable. I suppose I might someday find myself graduating to a full helmet, but one of the more pleasurable things about riding a bike is the wind in my face.

Well Rich, that one opens up a new realm of choices for ya, the front half or the back half. I'm a fan of the wind in my face too.

The problem with the wind is that it often contains bugs, rocks, bird guano, rain and general road dirt and grime. Every now and then the visor takes a pretty good hit that I'm glad was stopped a few inches before it got me.

I think they got the idea from Buster Posey's catcher's mask.
BTW, When does baseball start again?

Well, I have windshields on all of my bikes now so not much of that stuff gets onto me. And, I wear riding glasses. If I bug gets through all that I'm just gonna eat him. Gotta be good for ya!

Protein. But a bit like parsley, so carry a toothpick.

Naaaahh.... Just too weird for me. So you open it up, lay it face down on a table and stick your face in it? And really I'm not going to put my head in anything that locks into place. Truly an awkward situation waiting to happen.

There was discussion about this helmet a few weeks ago on the Thunderbird site. There is a video for EMT personnel on how to remove it after an accident. I was saying I didn't think Emergency responders had time to watch a video on how to remove a helmet. http://www.vozzhelmets.com/the-helmet.html

I dunno. I've certainly stuck my head in some awkward places before!
