What's up with all these blue highlighted links all over the forums ? They just appeared today, and when the curser hovers just for an instant, I get annoying popup ads. Must be a Window 10 thing 'cause my iPad is fine.

Perhaps the Enlightened Ones can help.

I don't see any of that, still on 7 and using FF with Adblock plus. I keep getting prompts to get 10 but don't want it.

Malwarebytes

It is one of the best free softwares. I run the paid version on all my business machines. Hope you remember all your user names and passwords when you start running cleaners.

This is a deep clean machine.

CCleaner
is another good free maintenance program. does not dig real deep but cleans up junk without asking a lot of questions.

I normally recommend these 2 programs they are idiot proof for the most part.

IF running these does not fix it seek professional help.

Make sure your browser home page has not been changed.

WARNING, you get what you pay for and everyone has an opinion on what is best.

I run SpyBot S&D with expert options enabled and usage tracking search. I also run Spyware blaster. I have used Malwarebytes for what Spybot misses but I found Malwarebytes misses more so I use that as a back up if I need it. I also run Zonealarm AV and firewall.

Malwarebytes actually removes a couple tough ones.

Agreed, those are both good programs and simple to run.

Biggest issue is all the junk out there if you don't know what you are looking for.

And some are too techy for most people.
If you don't understand the question-don't run it.

Ian I really want to kill a six pack or two with you.

I'm back. I clicked onto one of them links and it takened me to a place where big red mushrooms talk to the happy snails. I rode a fish and ate purple Scotch.
