Due to circumstances beyond my control, I havnt been able to ride for last cpl months ( weather , broken foot stuff like that ) but was able to ride thur and today . I was reminded why I bought this bike . I guess you folks up north prob know what I mean but living here we ride pretty much whenever we want . Over time things just become routine and taken for granted. But take that away for a few months and it all comes back. I love this bike, it handles so well it has all the power I need , it sounds awsome with them scepters screaming so what's not to like? Have ya ever noticed how there is this real sweet spot in the 50-60mph range? I just had to tell somebody this that understands what I'm trying to say. Nobody around here gets it but because of some here on this site having to shut it down , I know u understand you prob feel like this every spring

Fall is my favorite time of the year, but not this year. Just got my bike, but have to re-gear for all weather riding. She will be parked in the garage before long for the cold winter. I will be getting a lift for her. She will be clean by spring. Fast Eddy will be my best friend by then. Hope the wife understands there is a new girl in town.

Ha, I know about that! Several years ago I bought a clock that attaches to the stem nut from a company called Bike Watch. She brought in in from the mailbox. Several days later I overheard her say to one of her friends "He bought a watch for his bike but not for me. It's like he has a girlfriend that lives in the garage." I then bought her a nice watch for her birthday.

I feel for y'all. So glad to be in California. The thought of more than a week without riding is very depressing. I ride a lot but still have that love my bike feeling every time.

Oh Yah all winter its working on the bike or planning things for next season but that is why I still ski and just bought a new set of boards. Doing big GS turns down a steep slope is alot like riding in the twisties. (just a little colder)

I live in Michigan, our winters get pretty cold but I find most months have a few days of decent weather. I keep my bike in my garage and on those decent days (above forty degrees) I get at least a short ride. I have some hard core friends who bundle up and ride in all kinds of cold weather but I draw the line at 40F.

I don't take mine out in winter, the calcium chloride mixture they use now is far too corrosive. I wait until it has been washed off the roads.

I almost do t care about ridi g motorcycles anymore. Hostile drivers and police and the whole biker image thing has pretty much ruined it. I like to ride but its hardly worth the hassle anymore. Being a pragmatist in nature just going about and seeing how many miles I can go is contrary to me. I need a place to go to for a reason. So at this point I do nt know if I care if I ever ride again.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

That's too bad, I still ride aimlessly and end up where I end up. Take roads I have never been on to see where they go, stop at places I have never been that I stumble on.

I have only been out a few times, but I am having a ball. you can stare down people on cell phones.(Horn will be updated before spring) Pass mopeds and not even change lanes. I think the BA is the best kept secret in the world. Everyone that sees it says that is nice....What is it.
Worst comment. Triumph still makes motorcycles.

And that's totally me also. Just a couple of days ago went out and got lost on some really sweet Missouri backroads that are about 40 miles from here. Lane and a half, up and down and around, pretty countryside, and only a couple of cars for more than an hour. I was thinking of my crazy friends from the ARK rally as I rode, thinking they would appreciate these roads.

I live in central Iowa and my favorite destinations are usually Dairy Queens out of state. Leave in the early morning, have an ice cream cone by two in the afternoon and then head home. 450 to 650 miles mostly on two lane county highways and as twisty as possible.

Keeps me sane. I can't afford a psychiatrist. When I ride to work somehow makes it a little more fun and improves my mood knowing I get to ride home also.

In the case of many of us that is a question we really should avoid asking.

What to do now when the neighbor's dog tears up your chickens? You'll have a newt moment this spring...
The only thing closer to riding is flying. Then again things change Chad. Take Hugh Hefner's magazine...Scheduled to change this March.
