The bulb in my tach and one of the two in the speedometer were burnt out so I replaced them all with LEDs from Superbrightleds.com It cost about 11 bucks including postage and took about half an hour to do. (First time I've taken the speedo apart) There are two different size bulbs in the Speedo. I like it. Red, blue, yellow, and white are also available. By the way, if you ever need to replace the screw in the odometer reset handle I'd suggest an eyeglass store.

I have read somewhere that Red light affects a person s night vision the least. True or not true? But if Green is your thing, Party On.

Red lights wash out the red markings on the gauges. I tried red on my Adventurer and it makes the red markings difficult to see. Lots of car dashboards and aircraft cockpits have green gauges so I'm trying that, I think it distracts less.

I've got red guage lights on my Indian. Don't like them at all. I'd REALLY like some green or blue lights. I always thought the really beautiful dash lights on the cars from the 50s and 60s were beautiful in blues and greens.

The engine was cold and the choke was on. I was just trying to get the other lights off for the picture.
