Australian Government Concerned Over Vegemite's Use In Moonshine! http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2...tm_term=nprnews
Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

I tried it back in 1985 when I was in Perth. I'd be concerned about it's use as a food!
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Yep, It is definitely an acquired taste.
I've been here 61 years, and still cannot acquire a taste for it.

Prisoners have apparently used it for ages mixed with fruit juice to make a sort of alcohol in jail.

"In some of them, Vegemite, sometimes fermented in bathtubs, is being used to skirt the laws, officials say." Say What? That is alot of jars of the mud to make using a bathtub worthwhile. On a similar note indigenous people in Northern Ontario were purchasing similar amounts of Campbels tomato soup for the same purpose. Wouldn't that make for an interesting moonshine competition.

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
