KRAKEN ? We get that stuff from a real skinny guy in the Taco Bell parkin' lot. It keeps you up all night and makes yer face all itchy, like cheek chiggers.

Yeah, I 'spose. I don't think you has chiggers out there in the desert like we do here. Dang, them things will eat ya up and itch for a week. Make ya look like you been shot with #8 shot.

Bugs is good, a course we don't have many, 'cept scorpions, centipedes, cow killers, killer bees...lot a tarantulas but they're harmless. I've heard about chiggers, they suck.

We got the cow killers, scorpions, fire ants (down south a bit), and a few others. But, if chiggers weighed a half pound each you'd have to carry a gun to get off the sidewalk safely. Hate the little bastiges. Got about 40 bites at one time years ago and have been allergic to them ever since.

We have chiggers here too, rotten little bastages! I have been lucky and never run into them myself but I know those who have.

We used to call them "piss ants" , some call them "velvet ants" , but they are cool to play with, they make squeaky noises when you mess with them.

Used to be a cheap winery in Turnbull canyon when I was a youngster. We used to call their stuff 'bug juice' cause they smashed grapes bugs and all.
