I mean, haven't you ever heard the expression "American Exceptionalism", and a concept with the underlying thought that we Yanks are better than anyone else in the world, and thus have some god-given right to be as cocksure about our opinions and about such things as how the rest of the world should be more than anyone else on this planet???

And I don't know about YOU, but I sure as hell have never heard of anything such as "BRITISH Exceptionalism"!

Yesterday the ole Dame (not the water shy prudent one) and I tried to play in the rain. All we got was misted, and got to look at lot's of shelf clouds, grey black and windy. Nothing like being close to home when wearing non water proof boots! Jeez where was I? Oh Yeah, Welcome!

Remarkable. Absolutely remarkable, how this site was the impetus for three americas, 200,000 miles+ and meeting some of the finest folks on the planet. Hear hear to all. Thank you for the memories. My first lobster roll, heck, I didn't even know what one was!, was enjoyed in the company of Jack RIP and Diane, among others. Back in the day when the pioneers, well pioneered! Dinqua. Jeez. Speedmaster red azz amber ale notwithstanding. The Ride to Robert's town. Some little issue at the days inn. Mark tilling a horseshoe pit in Georgia. Eating massive amounts of abandoned bbq in Eureka Springs. A true lobster bake in New Hampshire. Seeing the weather change in Oceanside due to Atlantic ocean water.

Yes Ron, The friendships made here, made in College Station/Snook TX, Canandaigua, Dahlonega, Litchfield, Prescott, Dansville, ...will last a lifetime. Each and every rally holds the promise of more remarkable people, more striking adventures.

I was born the good ol Gorbals in the days when it was a tough town .Dad made good and we moved to Dunbar when I was 7.......there until I was 16 then my last 2 years in Newcastle upon Tyne.....then I climbed Hadrian's Wall and moved South.....now in Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
I know Morpeth well......
