After 2 1/2 years wondering if my Trophy was gonna start and get me where I was going and home again, I traded it in on an R3T. Not saying I let my concerns of reliability stop me much. I did put over 30,000 miles on the Trophy. So many electronic glitches in the first model year to hit the states. And I had one of the earliest launch motorcycle model bikes. Everything about riding it was awesome. From comfort to flat out hauling tail. But the warranty was up stuff it had to go.
I got a great deal. RPM Cycles in Dallas, Tx really worked with me. They took my worn out, beat up, hot wired trophy in trade. The R3T is in Phantom Black with the most beautiful factory hand painted striping a man could ask for. When the tech got back from his test ride and I first saw it, I knew it was the bike for me. I put over 80,000 on an 08 R3T so I already have an idea of what the bike is capable of doing. This one had many factory options already installed to include light bar, engine guards, and quick detach backrest/luggage rack. After my trade, I spent less on this rocket than my stripped down, no options 08.
Time for a dealer plug. RPM Cycle Tx is worth the drive if you live anywhere near them. In addition to great sales staff that love Triumph motorcycles, the service department is awesome. They dealt with every recall and electrical issue as well as they could when dealing with Triumph HQ. They even gave my a loaner for longer repairs. Most shops will not do this and I live over 200 miles away in another state.
Well, as y'all know I don't make many post because I am usually riding. So have a great day, I'm hitting the road!
