Spacecraft made closest pass to the planet today. It looks red not gray as expected. I love this kind of stuff, took 9 years to get there. I am excited to see pictures.I wonder if it will be made a planet again, to me it still is we have always had 9 planets and as far as I am concerned we still do.

Imagine kicking Pluto out of the fold. What would Walt have to say if he was still alive?!

Because someone had to:

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

I think it's rather strange that all the news programs I've watched are saying things such as, "America has now sent probes to all 9 of the planets", and YET as we know, supposedly Pluto has been reassigned to some sort of "sub-planet" category status and that there are now supposedly only 8 planets in our solar system.

(...so tell me here Larry...seein' as how I seldom watch Fox News, YOU know, a news channel supposedly unlike all those "Lamestream Media" outlets, how have THEY been presenting this bit of interplanetary travel news, HUH???)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Only reason for demoting Pluto is because there are a number of similar size "celestial bodies" farther on in the kuiper belt. They don't have enough Greek hero and god names to go around. As long as those are not considered real planets, they don't have to use the conventional naming system.
