I like the tank. The swingarm is interesting. The packager as a whole? Meh!
Maybe if I was 5'4" and wanted a bar hopper.

I like the rear fender and the hardtail look but not the rest especially that radiator and lack of forward controls.

For me, that seat seems too high off the rear fender. Overall, I don't really like it, although admittedly there are only 2 pics of it. Maybe with some better pics I will change my mind. I do like the idea of 1100cc's!

Its nice, i like the look but speaking from experience, my bobber is parked for now...that rooster tail of water when it rains gets old (kinda like ME haha)...I'm really enjoying all the stock safety features on my new to me America

It will be interesting to see what the Speedmaster and America versions with this motor are going to look like. I hope that they finally get rid of the 15" rear rim and go to a 17" rear rim and bring the styling closer back to the 02-07 models. I could live with that small radiator if they finally managed to get the rest of the styling right. I think that the 100bhp claim is a bit dubious as previous articles were saying 90bhp, wishful thinking I guess.

ya the guy looks like he is riding on the rim of the seat just to fit, they will have to amend that for sure to fit the average person. All and all i am not a fan of the bike, if someone wants a bobber they can make one. this one leaves no room for change really

I like the 15" rim and would hope if they change it then no larger than a 16", 17" and larger lose the look IMO.

Good find Mike.
A 1100cc 90-100hp America/Speedmaster? I can dig it. It's what many on this site have been hoping for, for several years. The bobber, not that crazy about it.

Turn signals look just like the ones on my Tiger.Lose the pill bottle brake res and add dual front discs.Still looks decent and 1100cc would be sweet.

I wouldn't buy a single seat bike but the power of 1,100cc would be great.

Yes Keith you're right.I love my bike and with a few tweaks, it's got sufficient power for the real world.

Where will the quest for power end? The high end bikes are already using electronic aids to control and limit the available power so that mere mortals can ride them. 100 Hp is no longer considered high power,200 is the new 100. I'd rather ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

You'd have to be short on the inseam to be comfortable on that rig. Who is their target market?

Yep. That rider certainly looks all scrunched up on it, alright.
Even though I'm now not a big fan of forward controls, I think Ian was right about this particular model needing them.
(...and from what I've seen of it, I love the look of that new motor...and even the radiator doesn't appear to be all that intrusive to the overall design)

The rear end looks like a soft tail with a mono shock, forward controls and a new seat would help. but seeing as its only a test mule many things can change.

There is a reason the Rocker C and Crossbones are no longer made. They tried to sell that floating fender and seat deal for 3 years at HD. It was pretty ugly to most folks. Then two up you turn your passenger into separately sprung weight.
I truly hope they change that seating position and hope it has ABS.

Yep.I took mine to 160Kph[100 mph] a few weeks ago for the second time since I bought it,but it'll cruise at 120-130kph,[75-80mph] easily which is fine for me.

Pretty sure all new model bikes will be built with ABS, I think Europe demands ABS on all bikes built after 2015. I'm pretty sure the same will happen in the colony's very soon. Abs is one electronic device that gets my seal of approval.

Yep, these machines of ours have "adequate" power for "cruising along" alright, but as I've said since the day I purchased mine in November of '01, it suuuuure would be nice to have more passing power on tap and something only an engine producing at least 70-80bhp could and can deliver whenever called upon to do so.
(...and somethin' I'll bet IF you guys would ask any of the fellas around here who've gone the big bore route on their machines would verify what I've said here)

Until you are out on your bike and it decides to not allow you to apply your brakes as it does on malfunctioning cars. There's a safety feature I want! (sarcasim)

I am in the "happy with my bike" camp, plenty of power for me passing and all even 2 up. I have ridden bigger more powerful bikes and all I get is more I don't use. I too would rather ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

I agree as "Tim the toolman" said "MORE POWER". But, without the penalty of a bigger bike.I don't want a Rocket3 or a T-bird. I love my bike, but 70-80 HP [with no increase in fuel consumption ]would be something.

904 wouldn't be bad but any bigger and you have to pay an insurance surcharge here. That isn't to say I want to do a 904 BB but when my bike needs to be rebuilt I might.

why would you tell insurance? if you had a 790 and punched it to the 1096 or whatever that monster is, why would you tell anyone but this here forum? my insurance and my state thinks my motor is a 790 like stock, and that's what I pay insurance and taxes on

This from a motorcycle website here.Nothing new.
It looks like Triumph is not only going to add water cooling to its 2016 Bonneville, but also different models including a bobber as these images show.
Cycle World and Visor Down have published spy images of the bobber version being tested near their development facility outside Barcelona.
It follows spy photos in May of the next-generation Triumph Bonneville being tested near the factory at Hinckley.
All photos show a small radiator between the slightly modified front frame supports.
The Bonneville also sports twin discs up front but Bobber only has one disc. It’s difficult to see if it has ABS as the disc is on the other side of the bike from the photographer, but the Bonneville spy shots don’t seem to indicate an ABS wheel.
The big changes in the bobber are, of course, the lack of a rear seat and subframe with the bike having a hardtail look with a hidden mono shock somewhere up under the seat, a bit like a Harley Softail. The Bonneville retains the twin shocks.
you can see that bobber has mirrors under the wide and flat “beach bars”, short slash-cut pipes and a single instrument pod.
Triumph Bonneville bobber Single instruments and under-bar mirrors (Photo Cycle World)
Another persistent rumour is that the engine has a larger capacity, as much as 1100cc, up from the current 865cc. Thankfully, despite the fact that it’s water-cooled, it retains the traditional fins.
That’s typical of Triumph’s handling of this iconic design: when it went to EFI In 2009, it hid the injectors inside a traditional-looking carburettor body.
It will be interesting to see if this engine replaces the air-cooled 865cc or will be an option.
No doubt there will also be cafe racer, scrambler and cruiser versions like the current range.
The new Triumph Bonneville range is expected to debut at the 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan in October.

While I REALLY like this version of the coming new, bigger engine and faster Triumph Bonneville line, when I saw the name "Street Tracker" ascribed to this model, all I could think of was George Bernard Shaw's famous quote about America and England being "Two people separated by a common language".
And because, in the good ol' U.S. of A., a "STREET TRACKER" is a motorcycle that looks like an FLAT Track racer but is equipped with lights in order to be street legal. And sorry, but that so-called "Street Tracker" pictured here looks like a CAFE Racer than it does anything else!
(...so what's with those darn "superfluous 'u' users" over there on that little island situated off the coast of continental Europe anyway, huh?!...why can't they seem to understand this???)

That engine looks very much like a 60s twin has the old style look to the primary and the fake carb looks like a monoblock also looked like it may have an inspection cap on the cam cover to mimic the old rocker box. That big ugly radiator sucks though.

So Ian, it seems now that you've gotten a little better look at that new engine, you NOW seem to agree with me and when I disagreed with your comment made a few months ago that that engine 'looked like a Honda'.
So, is THAT pretty much what you're sayin' here?

Yes it sure looks like a Honda engine, but with Amal carbs. The picture was an addition to a write up on the new street triple models. I would not class it as a street tracker style either more a Thruxton replacement.

Okay Stephen(you "superfluous u user" you ), tell me which Vertical Twin Honda from back in the day sported that triangle shaped head and those spayed out exhaust headers like all Triumph Twins(INCLUDING our machines) did and do, huh?! Nope, as I recall, the CB350 had flat sided cylinder finning and the CB450 had rounded cylinder head finning back in the day.
And, tell me which old Honda model had that little flair thing coming off of the lower end primary side crank cover and just as Triumph pushrod twins did back in the day, huh? None, RIGHT?!
(...MAN, I can't believe I'm now having the same disagreement with YOU as I did with Ian and before HE now has seemed to have had his little epiphany here!!!)

Looks like a modern triumph to me. Can tell one from nearly 1000 yards out. Don't know of any bike that looks the same. The radiator may have had me having doubt till it got close like say 500 yards.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.
