Hey guys, I have a question out of curiousty. I was reading over on the Tbird site that with the way the Tbird's engine is set up that you cannot do valve adjustments yourself, that it pretty much has to be done at the dealership. Have any of you Tbird owners on this site found that to be true? I have my reservations about the Tbird models, mainly the radiator and I don't care for the styling of any of the models, but the performance numbers are hard to overlook especially when it comes to two up riding. One of my favorite things about the Speedmaster/Americas are that we can pretty much do all the work ourselves in our garges. If I couldn't even do the valve adjustments on a Tbird then that would be a definite deal breaker for me.

If it can be done at a shop it can be done at home.

That was my thinking as well. I was just wondering if anyone has actually done it at home their garage yet.

It's doable.
Check out thunderbird1600.com . There's a few chaps over there who have done this.
