Our darling Brother Oteil was involved in a minor traffic accident yesterday
(3/29) and was admitted to the University of Alabama/Birmingham hospital. Oteil
underwent minor treatment to clean out wounds to his leg and is recovering
nicely. The slow-speed accident occurred in his Birmingham hometown when his
Triumph motorcycle accidentally hit an automobile. Oteil, who was wearing his
helmet, is expected to recover in time for his show with the Peacemakers April 8
in Copper Mt., CO and the next Allman Brothers Band and Oteil & The Peacemakers
concerts at the Wanee Festival April 14 & 15 in Florida. His performance tonight
with the Peacemakers at the Savannah Music Festival has been cancelled, but
dates in April, May and over the summer with both the Allman Brothers Band and
the Peacemakers will not be affected.
For those of you not familiar with the current lineup of ABB, Oteil plays bass.

I have had the pleasure of seeing the current band twice and will have to say they are fantastic. Maybe as good a lineup as ever post Dwayne Allman.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I hope Mr Burbridge is back on his feet again soon.

It's been posted on here before, but I guess you missed that thread Keith...Oteil rides an America. Mike/BonnyBeemer says he's met him at a local bike hangout in Birmingham, and that he's also a member of the local RAT Pack. I sent out an invite to him to join our forum over on the board at his personal website. Maybe one of these days he'll show up here.

Here's the link to his website.

FRY Derek Trucks is also playing guitar with them, and I have his new album "songlines", it's amazing!! I saw the Brothers in.... 95 I think it was. Great show! I'd like to see them again.

So, did he get off by saying, "Honest officer, I didn't see the car."?
