I'll be darned... he talked about it, PMed me about it, posted about it and then all of a sudden, he rode into town. Rich, otherwise known as "arstaren" is here visiting from Iowa! Tomorrow we'll ride legendary roads and byways otherwise left to the imaginations of the less fortunate. I get to show off my "back yard."
As a side note I have to say that Indian he's riding is just beautiful. He let me ride it and I must say it's a very, VERY nice ride. I want one!!!
Viva la ba.com family. It lives on!

So Keith, now that Rich is there, any plans to have him start buildin' an elevator to that lower level of your house??? (...certainly hope you'll see the humo(u)r in THIS one anyway, but I never know about you anymore, ya know!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Sounds like a good time .
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Are you making fun of elevators, Dwight, because you are a lefty?

Well Marty, we never made it to where the forest rock entities live (Inukshuks) but we did manage to make it over Friar's favourite ride which has a cool factor akin to the one you speak of. It was a great day and I enjoyed the riding and hearing stories from a man who's met and knows some of my friends here on ba.com such as Dave, Chris and Paul.
Anne-Marie and I most enjoyed our special day with Rich and I must say, we're both better people for it. Tomorrow Rich leaves for Portland and beyond but leaves behind a lasting impression of a man full of wit, care and a passion for the extraordinary. I (we) really enjoyed meeting and spending time with the one and only, Sir Richard!

Yeah, Rich is okay. He has a weird taste in motorcycles though.

Rich is cool, even if he does stand over you while you sleep and he's only wearing his tidy whities...
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Rich woke me up this morning at 4:45 shouting something about how his grandma never let him sleep in. Luckily I didn't see him scantily clad in his "tidy whities" as you mentioned, Dave. I was however, not amused and threatened to shove an open jar of peanut butter in his face, which from what I hear, would make him hurl last night's cookies. Lucky for him I'm a nice guy and exercised restraint. Next time it's death by peanut butter and I keep his Indian!

Jeeminy Xmas, it was nearly 7 o clock IOWA TIME! And JEEZ, just stand ONE TIME over someone with their underwear on and you never hear the end of it! Anyways, finally got home yesterday afternoon, after leaving Keith's place and going on down through Washington state, Oregon and down the California coast. Had a great time at Keiths, although I had to cut it down to only one day. (I was getting itchy to ride down the road again and, as it was, I got home 4 DAYS PAST MY SCHEDULE!) I'll try and post some pictures and some more about my trip in a few days. (The big storm we had here the day I got in has got me doing a lot of damage repair at my place, my neighbors and at work.)
