My 2009 Speedmaster has just used up it's 2nd set of rear pads at 20,000 miles. I've never seen a bike go through rear pads so fast. Any recommendations for replacement pads that may last longer.

Are you using organic pads? They don't last long, and they dirty up your wheel with dust, but they are easy on the rotor and do bring you to a stop..

I think you're doing pretty good if you got 20,000 miles out of only 2 sets... I think the stock pads are only good for around 5000 themselves

Yep, 20 K is a good long time for pads to last.

is you pins lightly greased so's the static pad can step away from the rotor ? sometimes it can sit still and rub on the rotor too much.
you probly is a back braker and with organic pads, they get all eat up fast

I had the front rotors replaced under warranty when the bike was about a year old. They warped really bad, the 2009 had slotted rotors and when they replaced them they put the newer style with a "s style slot" and i had to pay for EBC pads. I'd at least like pads of the same "hardness" so i'll see what it was they put on for me at the dealers. If i can find all my bike info. as we've packed almost everything away getting ready to move.
