Triumph sent me an email about Tiger 800 test rides - looking at it there was a select local dealer section. The Surprise was that the first option was "Triumph Kansas City". Google did not have anything for it but did come back with a link through the Triumph site's dealer locator.

the address is the same as the new KC Indian Dealer - which is just a hop across the interstate from me.

Kind of wish I had seen this before - the bike is currently in the shop for its 24K service. I actually really like Engle Motors - though it took them awhile (weeks) to find the problem a couple of years ago when my CDI went south (even though I told them I suspected it was the CDI). it is just that they are clear across town and with their hours and my work hours I literally can't pick up the bike except on Saturdays.

Interesting, I hope they are as good as Engles, been doing business with them since the mid 60s.

Not so weird though, Des Moines has like three or four dealers.

I dunno about Engle's service dept myself, never quite happy with the service there, and when I have ordered parts either they never came in (sic: not order thru Triumph America or TA had distribution issues) or never got a call if/when the parts arrived. Been going to a neighborhood Cycle shop for any repairs I can't do myself (e.g the 24K service & paint stuff) & am very happy. The owner/mechanic is a friend of mine & a certified Triumph tech. Anyhoo, that's my 50 cents worth....Glad to learn there is another alternative in town.
