because after 10 yrs I am going to have to admit that I have to take my 05 TBA to the dealer. I am hoping just a valve adjuistment and carb ballance is the issue. But its beyond my tech skills and no one in my town will touch it. It just happens that this really becomes an issue when I am in a "Laid -Off" period. But Hey Im still alive and sorry its been a long time since I told everyone hello. So, HELLO everyone

Just a thought maybe you can find someone close your area from this site that would be willing to help you out. There are plenty of helpful people here. It can't hurt to give a shout out and see what happens. Wish you luck and hope the layoff ends soon.

How many miles on it? I had two valve checks in 9 years and 36,100 miles and they never needed adjusting. Carb adjusting is relatively minor (I can't do it because I'm relatively, mechanically deficient) but I bet it's covered n the Tech section and someone could talk you through it. Is it making some kind of loud valve clatter or something?
