Still Joni has been a fav of mine for almost half a century. I hope she recovers, losing her would be a blow to the world.

My wife and I were driving a couple of weeks ago and one of her songs came on the radio. I quit talking and turned it up. Sheila (who doesn't know Joni's work or my early years) asked if I had the hots for her? I couldn't answer.

So what do you play your vinyl on John? I've looked around online and can only find some cheapish record players on the Wal-mart site. The last stereo I had with a turntable was an old Sony and my puppy at the time ate the wires to the speakers but they were internal and I couldn't replace them.

A veterinarian friend gave me his old Onkyo turntable Paul. I had an old belt drive Pioneer purchased in about 1975. It died, or quit turning, which is bad news for a turntable.
