After having to wait for two weeks for a speedometer cable I decided that when I get my first social security check in May I will stock up on spare parts for the America. Any suggestions on what to keep on the shelf in the garage for just in case? What ever I don't use when I stop riding in 20 yrs when I hit 80 can be sold on ebay.

Life may begin at 30, but it gets really interesting around 150!

I always kept a set of brake pads, filters, clutch cable, and various gaskets and seals in my personal stock. Things like relays, bulbs, switches that I could get at the local automotive shop I didn't keep. When I went on long trips, I carried the clutch cable and spare bulbs in the saddle bags.

Perhaps a bottle of Glenfiddich for while you're waiting on the stuff that was forgotten.

If you can't get Glenmorangie, then maybe Glenfiddich. But to each, their own.

LOL...have a lovely bottle of 18 yo Glenmorangie sitting on the top shelf. The 'fiddich, which I do find quite pleasing, fills the void til I get around to cracking the 'really' good stuff.
