I have areas on my engine cases where the paint has bubbled and peeled off. I have removed these and sanded off the aluminium corrosion underneath but need advice on what paint to use to touch up these areas?

I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Anyone figured out a simple solution??

Zero-Rust black is very close to a perfect engine case color match, needs normal prep, no primer and dries harder than a wedding night "you now what". zero-rust

Harley makes a texture black engine paint as well. You can pick it up at any of their stealerships, but it is pricey at around $25 a can. It is a pretty close match as well.

Some have just striopped the cases and then polished. Same with the forks.

My bad. Having a Speedmaster the black engine always comes to my mind first.

After stripping the lacquer off the bar clamps and finding the bare aluminium looks so much better I think this maybe the way forward. Although it looks like a load of bloody knuckle work.

Chemical stripper helps, but even with chemicals, there is some labor involved. I've done fork tubes and wheel hubs, some of the Silver powder coat comes right off, other parts are adhered with nearly indestructible alien technology, regardless of removal technique. That may make no sense, but that has been my experience stripping the Silver off.

I just used some carb cleaner that accidentally made mine super soft, I had to get that crap off my engine in a hurry as I was afraid it would do permanent damage
