The Speedmaster wants some America handlebars. I know, it's weird but that's what she wants. Can it be done without changing out cables? And I'm NOT putting the Speedy bars on my America. Nope.

I think Bike Bandit does or used to list actual part numbers for OEM parts. Compare the Triumph part numbers for the America and Speedmaster for the year(s) in question, and the part #'s for the things that they connect to, or connect to them. Probably the same.

Beach bar fan? There is one difference I'm aware of, the America clutch cable is longer than the one that comes on a Spdy by an inch or so.

Wade, I switch mine all the time. Go from America bars with the short (America) risers, to the Speedmaster drag bars and long/high (Speedmaster) risers, to clip-on's. Then back again, and again, and again. I never do anything to the cables, controls, or wiring. Except to pull or tuck wiring into the headlight shell, depending on length needed. You'll be fine.
And you may see me tonight

Sage advice from the Enlightened Masses. Thank You. 'Speshly Erle, it all sounds so elementary now. Perhaps one day he will find the right bars and quit his bar swapping vices.

Sure Man U can have ur undies back... I'm too big for them. I was afraid I that I was gonna stretch them out anyhow. But the bra was so big my Uncle Ted hung it up from a branch in the backyard and made a 2 seated swing out of it for the kids.

Can do from BA to SM w/o issues; FWIW, not so sure the cables are long enough when starting with a SM to BA.

You no need no steenkin' box. Get you two pieces of cardboard bigger than the bars. Lay them down on one sheet and trace out an outline 3" bigger than the bars. Now cut it out and do the same for the other sheet. Now make a handlebar burrito and tape up the edges real good. Label it . Done.

if its a twin disc set up you will be needing to swap the brake line from the master cylinder to the caliper on the right hand side of the bike and perhaps route the throttle cables to the right hand side of the frame i had to on my 04 model
