Just picked up a 2003 BA and found this professional looking mod on a connection block under the tank. Anyone know what this is for?

Looking through the stacks of paperwork I see that it has had a custom map, giving it 3 degree advance and the rev limiter raised to 8500.
Maybe connected to that?
The other end of the connector is up under the tank, clearly not been connected for a while.

He could also have one of Pieman's remapped stock ignitors as well.

That would be Pieman's site.

It would appear it is to do with the O2 sensor removal

O2 sensors work with the EFI's ECU. Don't think they would be present on a carbed model.
09 America, some modifications

I believe that plug only applies to California specific models. My bikes has them too and plugs into nothing, as I thankfully don't live in Kalifornia.
