I am not spending 60 bucks on the dam thing how can I get around this any ideas?
Life need a little Triumph!
2008 Triumph Speedmaster, Single baffle drag pipes, lots of black powder coatin,K&N pods, AI removed, TBS needles and a procom cdi.

Looks like a flat piece of steel drilled to bolt to the clutch with a piece of flat stock or round stock welded to it would work fine. I can think of a couple other ways to configure it too but that would work.

Yeah, what do you need a tool for, I have put 3 sets of springs in 3 bikes and plates and springs in another and I didn't have no special tool or did I wish I did.

The tool was a detriment to me. Not necessary except for the very early motors.

So did you put it In gear or did the nut just turn?

There are two different tools...one is for alignment and the other is to hold the basket. My earlier posts were directed only to the alignment tool.
If the OP is referring to the clutch basket center nut, then put the bike in gear, get a helper to apply the rear brake, & use an impact wrench to remove the center nut.
