The 2016 Cannonball has been announced. September 19. Atlantic City, New Jersey to San Diego, CA. Sixteen days. One hundred pre-1916 bikes w/support crews.
I've been to 2 of the 3 they've had so far (Maggie Valley, NC and Daytona Beach, FL) and will probably figure out a way to link up with this one at some point. If you like old bikes, like to see and hear them being ridden as intended and enjoy hanging around like minded people, you need to start planning.

This was the start of last year's. Shots of a few of the bikes heading down to the sand for the group photo. Getting back out of the sand was the challenge. Most of the riders arrive a few days before the start, then spend their time working on the bikes in the parking lots. Everything is accessible and an extra hand is always appreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdStEWUd4C0 The 2014 run was pre-1936 bikes.
