02's should have a flat head screw to adjust but they are plugged to prevent tampering unless they've already been removed.

The plug Chy is referring to, is much like a miniature freeze plug on a auto motor block. I removed the carbs to get at mine and used a small flat blade screwdriver to pierce the cups, then prized them out. Don't go caveman, 'cause you don't need to. Once out, I made a D tool out of a 5.56 rifle brass casing, which worked, then I broke down and bought a pair of the brass knurled replacements from Fast Eddy Sports, so that they are finger adjustable. But you need a D tool just to get the OEM jets out to replace them. It's Winter, time to get it done. I just re read Chy s post, I guess the D tool isn't needed, you still need to get that cup out of your way to adjust.

Don't really need the D tool, I removed mine with hemostats and cut a slot in the head.

With a screen name like Oofty Goofty I'm not so sure hemostats would be a good idea.

Some member here at BA.Com must surely have a D Tool they no longer need because they have moved on to the jets with the knurled finger knobs. Post in the classifieds as a want to buy. If I had one, I'd send it to you for $1.95 shipping first class, but alas, I don't.

That's good thinking, and out of the box. Just cut a square groove in the head of the jet with a hacksaw. Go slow with a plan and you should get usable results.

i am a fan of the replacement ones from eddy, they are so easy to use and with the mark lines on them easy to get each one the same.

Prepare for a lecture by Ian that getting both increment lines the same rarely gets a proper adjustment, and I totally agree with him.

True, I don't think I ever had a multiple carb bike come out exactly the same on both carbs. I used a Dremel with a cutting wheel to make the slots, if you use this method be very careful the screws are very soft.

For an 02, all you need is a small screwdriver to adjust. I used to carry one in my pocket to play around with them - can't help myself when it comes to tinkering.
