I've got a hydralic lift for my America. But it is light duty and there's no way it is going to lift my 824 pound Indian. I don't have the scratch to buy a bigger jack right now. In the past, some of you fella's have talked about making a "homemade" jack from two by fours and such. Anyone using such a home made setup on a bigger bike, like a HD?

I built and used one like this on a lighter bike. Not sure I'd trust it for a heavier beast.

My Harbor Freight lift, picks up my riding partner s 110 CVO $40,000 Harley wonder bike as easily as it does a stripped down Speedmaster. Wouldn't one of those work for you?

Well, like I said, I really don't have the cash to spend this time of year. Besides, I'm running out of room in my shop for tools. I'm gonna fab one like Don put up on here. (Thanks Don) It is small and I could hang it somewhere. Besides, I just want it to rotate and change the rear wheel. I'm never gonna really work on this Indian. Waaaay over my head and skill level.

That homemade lift Don posted works very well. That's exactly what I use for my Trumpet and it could easily lift a much heavier bike such as your Indian.

Did you post pics of your Indian?
