I tried to renew my RAT membership a couple times late last year on Triumph's web site. I couldn't get past the page on choosing a dealer. Kept asking me to choose a country, even though I did.

Got a post card today from Triumph asking me to go to their web site and renew my RAT membership. Even though I never got involved with RAT in the past, I thought I'd give them another try. Heck, I'll read Torque if they will send it for free.

Same problem as before on the web site. Screw 'em if they can't produce a user friendly site.

Bob

Took me three different PC's to get past that screen.

I did manage it though and got stuff sent through the mail a week later

Send them an email letting them know of the problems you are having. Here is their email address RatAmerica@TriumphMotorcycles.com . I have emailed them a couple times before about different things and have always gotten a response.

Me too. Same thing can't get past that part. I have e-mailed my and my son's info to them several times. I have done everything, but beg. They just don't want me, I guess. It's to bad, I really like the mag.

After chosing a country, you have to click the semi hidden button to select a dealer.

Well GB all I see is "GO" after you choose country and state. You hit go and fill in the rest and go to "Next" and it indicates in red that you have not selected a country. I am beginning to wonder if it's because I have a Mac.

Dave.

Try again, but use a different browser. Sometimes a webpage renders differently using different browsers.

The RAT site is not the most user friendly, and even though you list a response, it might not register as such. Just pick one dealer and after you submit that page, the dealer will show up on the page, albeit in rather small print.

Just take your time. The magazine is worth it!

I am beginning to wonder if it's because I have a Mac.

Well, according to the FAQ on site:

Quote:

10. I am using a Macintosh Computer, and I can't seem to get through the application process. Why?

This is a functionality that we are looking into. Currently, our online application is not compatible with MAC systems. To process your membership, please complete the online application on a PC.

I just registered a few minutes ago without any problems other than for some reason it thought my 'secondary' dealer was in Spain I'm not running a Mac, but a Linux box and using a very old version of Mozilla for my browser, which usually is much more of a problem than a Mac!

Cheers,
Brad

I have my Macs for some of the same reasons I have my Triumph:
Heritage, good looking, quick, easy & fun to use, low maintenance, doesn't break down and it's not like everybody's Windoze machine!

BKing I use a Mac because as you say the Windows operating system is POS. I tried to do my photography and graphic design on Windows about 8 years ago and all they did was crash every few minutes. God help you if you did not save your work every minute.

I'm just glad the people runnung the Triumph web site have nothing to do with the motorcycle production! I've always thought a poor web site reflects poorly on the company.

I have a MAC as does my wife. I was unable to get on mine using Explorer, but zipped right in, using her Safari. I find the entire Triumph site very unfriendly and till now had thought it to be an Apple predjudice !

Buddy of mine couldn't register either. His bike wasn't listed, so it wouldn't take his VIN number.
