Interesting site, this seemed interesting, how a 1911 45 works. But their are other things many might find interesting. Check it out.

Nice.

And I did not know that Tarantulas can grow to 12" across with 1" fangs.

Nice find Mac. I have a Colt Government Model 1911. Been having it since the 70s still a reliably and accurate pistol. I don't shoot it much these days since the price of ammo has skyrocketed.

Very cool indeed. I have one I bought used from a retired cop back in the early 1980s. They were built bullet proof, like the Triumph. I take it out every 5 or so years just to recompress my right wrist.

Was the first full size semi-auto I wanted, cause Vic Morrow in Combat had one. (showing my age again) Still have some, but, Glock fan now.

How a Jet Engine works seems (IMHO) far more interesting. Hit the end of a tube and a projectile speeds out the end of a gun barrel seems quite rudimentary.

It also shows the rest of the internal workings, I found it interesting to see even though I already knew the workings. I liked the tarantula too.

The function of the sear, a word I have heard and never understood, helped clear that up. Thanks.

Rudimentary perhaps, but a significant engineering achievement for over a century ago. BTW, jet engines are pretty cool too.
