I have a chance to buy a red frame 67 305 Scrambler but it needs an engine. Would make a cool little project but am afraid that having to find an engine is too large of a hurdle to overcome. Anyone have any experience getting parts for these things?

Not too far from where I live there is a vintage motorcycle boneyard. I'd bet my bottom dollar they'd have a motor to fit that bike. Of course that doesn't help you because it's so far away but maybe there's something like it accessible to you.

Should be some really good answers for you here: http://www.honda305.com/

Thanks, had looked at the 305 site and have asked about an engine there. $250 for the frame and tin and pipes but the motor is enough different than the Dream and other 305s as to be a bit of a problem.

Also looking at a Honda Rebel 450 (i used to own one of these) and an Aprilia Mana 850 GT. All i really need is a very large barn and a winning lottery ticket and I could get most of the bikes I like!

My buddy uses his Honda Rebel as a grocery getter. He rides his Harley for enjoyment. Always liked the little rebels. Cool bikes.
