As a few of you may have seen in the classifieds I've parted with my 07 SM. It really was a hard decision but..... and I'm a little heart broken over this. However I'll still be here lurking around waiting on the day when I can introduce my new ride. I'm not sure if it will be another SM or America. But it will be another Triumph for sure.

If she's gone, we share you sadness. Thankfully you are not gone... that's what matters most.

Matt, Glad to hear you are sticking around. This is a great site and it wouldn't be the same if some of the regulars decided to move on. I really wish I could have kept my America. This summer I saw it several times. Even rode with the new owner and complained to him about how dirty it was. I had to suppress the urge to start shining it up at the coffee shop. Having said that, I really love my Rocket and have enjoyed learning all the quirks of the new bike. You know, it doesn't matter what bike you purchase, they all have their own issues. We complain about the problems the early Speedys and BAs had but I think the little quirks just add character. Don't wait too long before you purchase another one.

I know how you feel. I love my tiger, but I wish I still had my America.

I have toyed with selling my Speedmaster so many times. I want an old BSA 650. The only way to get one is to sell the Speedy. Yet I find myself not being able to do this. I would so regret selling it.

Yup. I liked my R3T and I really dig my Victory. It's a sweet bike but I still miss my Speedy.

I've got two Speedmasters now, by the grace of God, and last Thursday rolled out the 2009 and put over 200 miles on her Thanksgiving day. That was my first ride on either since August 9th...(back surgery...) I put another 60 miles on her this Thursday, too, just running across town and back for a family visit. But today, I rolled out the 2004, aired up the flat rear tire, and rode her to the local shop to have the tire changed. Maybe 4 miles there, 4 miles back. I haven't ridden her since back in July, Brought her home on the flat tire maybe 3 weeks before my pinched nerve became an issue... WHAT A HOOT!!! I missed riding, period, of course, but man is it hard not to misbehave on a Speedmaster!
