Does anyone have technical drawings of our engines? I am trying to have a guy make a 3D model of a bike that I am building.

I would also be very interested in a Solidworks model of the engine. The would be very handy to use to design a hard tail bobber frame!

Writing a letter to Triumph Corporate might work? You only need scaled drawings of the external dimensions and you aren't an infringement threat.

Seems like I saw that on here several years ago. Maybe the exploded views on BikeBandit.com? You could check here too. http://www.the-blueprints.com/

There is such a thing as La-Dar (Laser/Radar) profilers, I installed them on Cincinnati MilaCron Coaxial Milling machines at one of the Boeing plants here in Washington State. The down side is the motor would have to be removed and read on all four sides. They spit out a detailed drawing and or mill one out. Have any Aero Space connections?

My machine shop buddy said that if I could not find drawings, that he should be able to use his ex-shop partners CMM to measure my spare engine, and come up with a 3D model. I am guessing that is what Ryk spoke of? My guy is looking for .DXF or .STP files.

Thanks for the link, this will cost me some cash.

Same here! If anyone asks them about just an engine drawing, please let me know what they say. That is what I am most interested in.
