I came across a chrome engine bracket for my america at a really cheap price. However, I am wondering if this will be a simple procedure to put it on
I am not a genius with the tools , but if its fairly easy and someone could give me some instructions on how to do it i will give it a go
Cheers dust

If you are talking about the triangular bracket that holds the engine to the top of the frame, it is a very simple swap....10mins and 3 bolts, if I remember correctly

Hi Martin 62
That is the bracket I'm talking about. Can I simply unbolt the old one and put on the new. Will I have to support the engine , or anything like that

I didn't, the engine is bolted to the frame in a couple of other places so my logic was it wasn't going anywhere whilst I changed the top mount. Bit tricky getting to the bolts, so I removed the tank...but that is a general statement when working on the top of the engine.

Removing the tank will be no problem . As I'm not to confident with the tools I thought I'd best check before creating a drama for my self. Just wondered if the engine would move , but as you said its supported elsewhere and it will only take 10 mins
Will give it a go
Thanks for advice

now get you a Powerlet outlet to go in that big hole in the middle of the bracket, that's what it's there for. There's a plug there to snap it in also.

Easy swap. The engine doesn't shift one bit.
