Recently installed a coil and the bike ran great for 300 miles. Then it started running on one cylinder again. This past weekend, the mechanic replaced the cdi with a Procom. He road the bike for 90 miles without any issues. I stopped by to pick up the bike this morning and it wouldn't start. No spark on either cylinder.   He's ordering another one. I missed the Hot Springs Rally and nice fall weather riding because of electrical issues. There's a little voice inside me screaming sell this frickin' bike.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

if thats indeed what it is buy the TTP one, better unit as far as i am concerned.

No spark from either cylinder sounds like a pick up coil issue.
2006 865 Neon Blue/Jet Black Speedmaster,790cams, TTP Stage 2 Firestarter, Epco Exhaust with 10.25" Samson Vrod baffles, UNI pods with 40 pilots, 150 mains,Thruxton needles, 3 turns out.

After checking the pick up coil, he said it was fine.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

The pick up can test fine but then be open once it warms up.

Sounds like a bad "new" procom. Send it back for replacement and you'll probably be good to go

Received a call from the shop yesterday and the second Procom was installed a week ago. The bike has started every morning w/o issue. Soon as it warms up, the bike will be ridden home. Hopefully, this will remedy the electrical gremlins.

after everything i have read about procom over the years i am not sure why (now that there are alternatives) anyone would ever buy one for the triumph.

I got my Procom used from Moe, years ago. It was a simple "plug-n-play" change-out, and I've never given it another thought.  What is this "alternative" of which you speak?? Not that I need one.
