As you know i bought one recently (TBIRD), and frankly this is one if not the best group of guys i have ever chatted with and got to know on the world wide web! I know that it has come up from time to time that allot of our members here just don't visit like they used to leaving the die hard faithfuls around and some newer members here and again to enjoy our passion for triumph bikes. Has BA or would BA consider opening this up to thunderbirds as well? Or even just twins? For all relative purposes they are very much alike with the exception of the style, but mechanically very similiar. There is some real knowledge in this site, just thinking out loud is all.

I think it unofficially does. But I could see a T-bird forum on here. It would be cool cause I too am considering a T-bird.

Uhhh, I have two twins. Even though I sold my much loved and used BA, I still have the custom old Triumph I call a "57". And the new bike is a twin also, just not side by side. As long as they let me, I'm gonna be on this site cause the fella's are cool. And although my OTHER site is ok, that's a different kind of cat over there, I.E., money.

Are you implying we're a bunch of cheap old geezers?

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

It would be cool to open it up to everything Triumph, I think.

This is what the other bikes heading is for, I have never seen anyone told they can't play here no matter what they ride.

I had twins, sold them to gypsies in Mexico, so I could afford Triumph accessories for my America.

I bought a T-bird 1600 over 4 years ago after running my '02 TBA in to the back of a pick up, and I'm still here. Just because I have another bike doesn't mean I am not still a fan of the BA/Speedmaster and bonnevilleamerica.com. I have many friends here. That being said, there is a Thunderbird1600 site out there also.

Of course not thats not what i meant, i mean having dedicated threads for the other bikes like thunderbirds and T100's etc. Somewhere others can post there questions for specific bikes etc. I am sure it would mean doing some more work to the site, not sure if its even worth it, again, was just throwing it out there.

I understand where you're coming from. There are a lot of good people on this site. However, Triumphrat.net kind of already fills that role encompassing all the Triumph models and Thunderbird1600.com specifically covers the Tbirds. I have always found that the greatest appeal of this site was that is was specifically geared towards the Americas and the Speedmasters. I actually avoid the T-rat site becuase it is convoluted with all the the other bikes. Nothing personal against anyone who has moved on to other models but the last thing I would want to have to do in say, the General Tech thread, is wade through Tbird issues to get to the BA/Speedy stuff.

We should have a 1600Thunderbird dedicated thread and call it "Mac Wants One".

A Tiger dedicated thread would be good too, we'll call it "Mac..........

I am shocked and appalled. I'm also a bit relieved and because of your many open and sincere confessions, I'll now start the 12 step program.

Hello, I'm Barry. I own a Yamaha. I believe I ride it too much. I know it interferes with my Triumph relationship. Sometimes she sits alone for far too long. You see, the Yamaha has enabled me to be a binge yamarider. I want to be a better person. Sometimes I am weak. Forgive me.

I think your point is well said and I agree. If I want Indian techno talk, I go there. Buddyship and a love of Triumphs is over here.

Nah, you guys aren't particularly cheap. Geezers maybe. (Except for the occasional whippersnappers, like Dave) But there is some REAL money over at Indian. Fella's with new corvettes, and looking at buying a new Scout to compliment their Chieftan. I got a pretty good feeling that I wouldn't fit in with their rallys, with their designer clothes and moneyed ways. Maybe I'm reading it wrong. Maybe.

IMHO regardless of the ride everyone (for the most part)appears to be welcome here, which is good.
I do think that the technical stuff should stay with the BA/SM bikes. (as others have pointed out) There are already technical forums for the other bikes.
And we have the members rides section which does not appear to discriminate by brand or model. and there is some pretty cool stuff on there.

But we already have the Other Bikes section
Maybe start a new post in that section with the bike model to make scanning through the list easier
