OK it was full out Mod/wrenching day.
AI removal New NGK plugs Drilled air box and Unifilter Removed snorkel bottom and small rubber line from right side of airbox Installed long TORs Rejetted mains to 130s turned out pilot adj 3 turns
After getting all back together bike fired right up and sounded awesome. With the choke 1/2 out while warming up it idles very nice. However, while playing with the throtle in the low range around 1500 rpm I'm hearing an intermetent Pssst sound. Not like a leak but a short burst Pssst sound. I let the bike warm up then rode it about two miles. It is truly a different riding bike from idle through full throttle I'm not sensing any flat spots it's running solid throughout the power band. Got back to the garage and let it idle and it seemed to have ironed out any problems. Let the bike sit for a couple hours and restated. Fired right up idles fine but, still getting the Pssst sound occasionally. Rechecked all connections everything seems A OK. Any ideas guys?

After writing the above post I fired the bike pack up and was checking things out with a flashlight. When the Pssst was happening I could see a burst of air/vapor popping out the left side carb inlet ( around the rubber) sure enough the clamp was loose. I tightened it all the way down but the clamp/band you can still rotate so guess it streched a bit too much. Figure a new clamp should take care of it. That's a relief.....

I found that out by spraying carb cleaner around the rubbers .The cleaner burns and you can hear it run faster

Alls good was a bad clamp. Ordered a couple to keep on hand because for some reason I feel I may be pulling the carbs again someday. Ya think?
