I prefer not to use any. The only time I have shaved in the last 40 years was the 8 years I spent in the NSW Fire Brigades, because I had to.

Went to a Braun Series Seven electric after Gillette decided their blades were made of gold.
Shocked how close a shave it is. Never would have believed it.
That was about 3 years ago.

I keep a Braun at my office for touch ups if I have a hot date after work. Got to shave for the dates, my beard is grey and the women would know I'm lying about me age. You're right they are surprisingly extremely close shaves, so close that it irritates my skin if I use it all the time.

I have been, for about three months now. I calculated that I'd save at least $50 a year by going with their executive blade deal, more if I stepped it down.
The handle is sturdy, the cartridges are not as sleek/sexy/thin but they do the same job my uber expensive blades were doing.
