So I'm installing HD clutch kit from Barnett, with this new gasket is it highly recommended to use gasket sealer or not? THanks.

I smear both sides of the case gaskets with anti seize, no leaks and you can re use the gasket if you pull the cover in a future need. What is the most important is cleanliness on all components (case, gasket, and cover). Then you can use silicone, a. seize or dry and realistically expect no leaks or problems.

I have ultra black gasket maker, do you recommend I lightly smear both sides of the gasket and let dry overnight? Or should I smear on as I gasket as I complete the case?

I installed mine clean and dry with a new gasket like the manual says, & no leaks. That said, I would not reuse the gasket.

I smear just a very light coat on then assemble right away.
