Nice. I had a 2006 bottle of wine give to me the other day. Should be good considering it's red.

the oldest bottle in my collection right now is from '07. I drink it all so fast it doesn't have time to age. '04 was a good year for Australian wines too... reds anyway

You guys are lucky! Over here, trying to buy a wine that's older than 2 years is futile. Nobody knows how to take care of wine, so I think they just leave the cradles in the sun, while storing it. Anything older than 2 years is painfully vinegar. They have great bottles to sell, but they are all vinegar, and trying to send the bottle back..... Took me 45 minutes last time, and the store only took it back after calling the country's main distributor and confirming with them if it was ok. Now, I'm a big fan of Chilean wine that's less than 2 years.

That bottle was two years old when we bought it. Lynn and I were leaving the '06 Nor'East Rally and hit the vineyards on September 24, 2006 while we rolled South from Canandaigua. Carried that bottle from Penn Yan, NY along with several others from both the PreJean winery and Seneca Wine Cellars, to home. The port is the only one that made it to Florida where it gathered dust until last night. Just looked on prejean's website and they don't list that port anymore.

varietal port - yum and you mention the rocky patel, which one? 10 years also?
not a huge fan of NY wines in general but they do a pretty good job on the ports.

Well they have had ships there for hundreds of years, they should do a good job on the ports.

Rocky Patel makes some nice smokes. I've only had the vintage '92 box pressed and the Private Cellar, and they were both quite good.
