I've ridden about 300 miles this year. The last two attempts of riding has resulted in the bike limping home while firing on one cylinder. As you would expect, the bike ran great on the 16 mile trip to the shop. After three weeks, the mechanic can't get it to act up again. He said that he was going to ride it this weekend for 100 miles. Sure wish Triumph had a diagnostic tool to check the electrical bits.

Not riding them enough is worse than riding the hell put of them.

Yep that's what I think. Ignition coil. The shop I took my TBA to did not know what was wrong either until I told him to check the coil. And the guy was a former race bike mechanic and very good.

If it weren't for all those pesky monthly priorities, both would be replaced. The preferred method is to narrow it down to either the c.d.i. or coil. Where's that money tree people keep talking about?
