I have redacted the dealership name from this marketing email I received, below. Why assume that folks in the market for Harley won't find this offensive? Why not have a bikini bike wash at a BMW dealer?

Interesting point you make here Mikey790. Since HD has really been trying to reach out to women lately, I wonder how they feel about this type of advertising and the whole mindset.

As for me, I have issues with someone other than me washing my bike, bikini-clad or not!

I like the idea of having a bikini wash, but it's best to hand wash them in cold water

I think H-D is the only brand that can get away with this. Seems like most of the H-D women here are either into women themselves or "allow" their husbands this little extravagance as long as he keeps up the payments on the McMansion and the Lexus.

When I was shopping in '06, I was debating between a Road King FLHP or the America. Yeah, I know - I really wanted both! Anyway, on the final visit, I brought the wife along to see how she fit. After we were both onboard, the salesman told my wife that now she needed to practice lifting her shirt to show her boobs. We were shocked! The next day, we went to the Triumph dealer and bought the America. I guess I made the right decision since she pulled out HER checkbook.

You guys have obviously never gone to a car show where the women are displaying the new very high end cars.

Do we really think Sofia Vergara really designs furniture?

Similar. But Ron, those are professional models and they accent the cars. The H-D girls appear to have another profession. One that revolves around a vertical pole - not that there's anything wrong with that. It just makes me feel old when strippers call me Honey and I don't have any dollar bills to spare.

Yasee! I always take at least 3 bucks to the HD events. That gets me 6 honeys and lap dance.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Maybe they think women who buy new HD's will look back when their new bike needs washing and think, "Oh yeah, that's how you do it!"
