Hi, all, total newbie here. just getting ready to pull the trigger on a nearly-new 2012 blue and white America. I like the color and the fat front tire, but the seat has to go. I'm 6' 2" and around 255, and the stock seat is just too low and puts me way too far foreward. Plus, I absolutely hate the two-up look. My question is: will the stock solo driver seat section from say a 2009 or earlier fit on the newer one-piece seat equiped Bonnie Americas? Is there a way to adapt one? I'm not at all afraid of wrenches and whatnot. But if I can't make one of these solo stocker seats work on the 2012, it might be a deal breaker for me. And I really love the look of the blue and white 2012s, and have special plans for other mods for it if I get it....white walls, white solo seat, grips ...etc.

Thanks,

Mike

I may be corrected, but, I believe the solo seat and the front portion of any available two-up seats are dimensionally the same and no real advantage would be gained.

I believe it would fit, but as already mentioned I don't know that it would change your seating issue. I might see if you can find a someone near you that has one that you can sit on or one to try out. You could have it modified for your height that's for sure. There are a few here who have done so. Look at ZMILIN and Dwight's bikes as good examples of seats adjusted for taller people. Both should be in the Member Rides section.
