Hey everyone! A couple things left to do including mapping and locking up the exhaust, as well as the side cover, which is being painted and finished, and the front fender which is going through the same treatment. Here's my 2009 America with 2012 Bonneville tank. Custom pieces as follows. - Rattle can painted rear fender - Powder coated rear brackets and cycle visions sissy bar - Powder coated headlight - joker machine sprocket cover - EMGO cocktail shaker exhaust - Biltwell Tracker bars - Biltwell Kung Fu Grips handlebars - British Customs oil pressure gauge - British customs retro turn signals front and rear Still need to put on the bar end mirrors. Dealing with a sticking throttle this week. Throw your thoughts my way everyone. A few more days of work, and she'll be ready. Here's the video so you can hear the exhaust humming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAfof8zbYAY&feature=youtu.be

Gregorz, I used some frame hanging wire to connect to the guard, then pulled it through. Once the light was assembled, I twisted it around that obnoxious brace piece that you use to keep the lightbulb in place. SLIGHTLY jenky, but it works for sure.

A sticky throttle is usually caused by the grip being on the throttle too far and rubbing on the throttle housing or the whole throttle housing is pushed on the handlebar to far and the grip is rubbing on the bar end. Ensure neither of these situations are occuring before looking elsewhere.

Your throttle control cables may be too tight, try backing them off at the grip a little.

The purple and white combo is really nice looking, I like your white accents on the grips air filter covers and headlight. the only thing that doesn't seem to flow with the overall look of the bike is that sissy bar. I think it would look sleek as hell without it

Hey guys! Thanks for the input. It's funny, I can see where everyone is coming from on the sissy bar, but I'm a long road tripper, and I also have a girlfriend who loves taking rides on the beast. So the sissy bar gets used. There's either a passenger seat or a luggage rack back there. I'm looking into custom saddle bags, but they have to work with the new turn signals, and most of them are not my style at all anyways. I love what the sissy bar can do for luggage. Worked wonders on a 1500 mile trip out west. So rest assured, she gets used. See my bike on the very left during our trip (before modifications obviously)

Great looking bike. Considering you've gone minimalistic with the bike, maybe drop the chain guard. The missing side cover makes it look like, well... something is missing. Maybe loose the reflectors on the forks.

Keith, I think he said (1st post) he was having the cover and front fender painted to match. But if he would put some Speedmaster bars on, then....

What Keith said.
I think it looks great. I like the sissy bar (a bit tall for my taste...but not a big thing, and you certainly use it.) The color is great, I really like what you've got going on.

Thanks Brent. Lovin' all the feedback. Painted the side cover with a number last night, and hoping for the best with the clear coat job on it. Front fender is on, and I'll be doing some proper legit photos this upcoming week. Gotta make sure I still ride her, because right now.... I just want to sit and stare.

YES! As soon as you can replace the tyres, white walls should be amazing!
It already is though.

As far as I know, no one manufactures a www tire for the 18" front wheel anymore.

Bike is looking good with the new tank Michael. Did you have any issues getting the sissy bar to fit? I'm looking to get one down the track and i don't like the oem options.
