I am having the hardest time finding anything online that will replace my 2004 Speedmaster brake and clutch hand control levers.
Everything I find online is specific to model years 2006 and beyond and I am not sure if something changed in that year other then moving from carb to EFI. Though I don't understand why or how that might affect lever attachment.
My goal is to find some nice black shorty levers as the standard OEM levers are too long and I tend to operate the levers with one finger. Any guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated.

There are about a million listings on EBay for levers, every conceivable length and color. There are so many, I have complained to them about duplicitous listing abuse. Search: Speedmaster/America levers and you will see what I mean.

Well, just sayin' but I've noticed that somewhere around '06 and older the levers were plain, and earlier they were adjustable with the numbered dial. Maybe this makes a difference ?

06 they came with the adjustment knob. 05 and under with the screw tensioners. They are not that expensive OEM if you just need the levers and not the housings. Bikebandit Click ThisOoops, edit, I didn't read your post well enough. Why not have your OEM cut down and powdercoated.

I've been searching for levers as well. The ones on eBay worry me regarding quality. I'm just not convinced you can make a quality lever for $30 ... not even the Chinese.
Don't any of the typical guys make levers for these? ASV? CRG?

These don't look horrible and are priced in the "not cheap-o" range. Anyone heard anything about these?

They look pretty good and looks like they be made in Canada. I agree, I don't like stuff from China.
