Wow! I LOVE that song! And this one was done more like Gregg's solo cover version of it(my personal favorite version) that he recorded a few years later after the original Allman Bros version. (...thanks Ryan...great find!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

That would be the Laid Back Lp release, my personal favorite. How bout that Dwight we've found something we can agree on.
Thanks Ryan, for the link. Another great version

If you like that one, you might like this one from Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man... unfortunately a Harley commercial but it does make you want to ride. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLqYrc2bNh8&list=RDiLqYrc2bNh8#t=113

Good blend of those three voices doing Midnight Rider.
Apparently Greg Allman has asked for the director of the film (biopic) "Midnight Rider" to shut down after a death by a camera person and the injury of six others. Too bad it's a good subject the death of the camera person and injuries notwithstanding.

Well then, might you have been confusin' me with some of the Headbangers around here, Mike??? (...'cause I thought I had made it clear YEARS ago whenever these sort of "Music" threads come up that I LOVE "Classic Southern Rock" and that I pretty much think with a few exceptions much of the "Heavy Metal" stuff blows chunks!)

Good drum syncopation with the Marlynn Mansonesque lyrics.
Do they wear those masks so we can't recognize the barber shop quartet they probably are on off days?
