Cdi install takes about three minutes.

I'd be ready if I had a freakin bike! Still in the shop.
On a brighter note, the weather looks good for the whole rally. Low in the 50's highs in the mid 70's. No rain.

Hot Springs is my dream but wont know till I know. Office mgr for the pest control is out with stage 4 cancer (chemo) and things are a bit jumbled right now. If I come in late , hopefully I can find a spot on the floor.

Guess I will try to meet you on the mountain about the same time as Kent. Get to ride for a bit at least.

Dave and I are next door to you, Paul. We're cabin 8, I think. Or 9. Whatever. I'm ready but not ready. Still have a lot to do at work to prepare for my absence and things I gotta do with the bike before Dave and I hit the road.

Sure hope you're right about that. Maybe the forecasters down there are better, but around here, they consistently get TOMMORROWS forecast wrong.

I still need to put my hard bags together, all the hardware is off of both and the weatherseal still needs to go on one of them, then get them mounted up. I haven't seen all the parts together yet, hopefully the pinstriping flows well

Any one want to meet up in Texarkana Wednesday round noonish. I plan to leave here at about 7am that puts me in Texarkana area at near 12:00.
I was also curious if y'all would be interested in a southerly route on Saturday rather than westerly. Basically it would be 270 west to Mt Ida 27 south to Norman 8 south to Fordyce 229 north to Traskwood then I know some country back roads to Lonsdale. its not as many miles but will take just as long. Its real pretty country through the woods and 229 is a nice twisty old back country highway along the saline river low country.

How do y'all feel about gravel roads?

Sounds good to me. Talimena drive and Wilhelmina parkway drive are cool but Donny and I will be covering it 4 times if we do that Sat run as planned. Maybe we can discuss it over a few beers and wine coolers on Friday night. Doesn't Charlie come close to Texarkana when he comes to Hot Springs? I'm not sure what day he is coming.

No worries, there is a gravel road that runs from Lonsdale to hot springs but its not a must. I like to ride it when I go just because its pretty. Most of it is under a canopy of trees. I can ride that when y'all aren't there.

FWIW, glad the rally isn't this weekend. Rain isn't leaving until Monday. According to the seven day outlook, it's suppose to be perfect until Friday. Guess I'll have to watch Monday to see what Saturday and Sunday's forecast will be.

My boy and I are in cabin 7. Guess I'll just have to keep the windows closed on one side so I don't hear all that low moaning... but on another note, my confirmation letter from them states the price, $139 per night. But the website states that Oct. rates are gonna be $120. So, am I gonna get the cheaper rate when I show up? (Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a cheap bas***d, and I COULD ask them. Just thought somebody on here knew the skinny.)

My son Stephen is out. For some reason he wrote down next Thursday and Friday on his vacation request and they won't let him change it. At his job they make them schedule vacations a year in advance. Stupid if you ask me.

What about the Pancake shop 216 Central in downtown Hot Springs? Or would it be too crowded.

Friday morning shouldn't be a problem. Saturdays are usually crowded with people waiting for a table. Highly recommend the banana pancakes.
