Has anyone tried one of these power hubs? Seems like a pretty nice design and could probably fit right in under the seat with the airbox out. I've got a couple extra powered accessories plus the battery charger that could be routed to this. Looks really clean and simple. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/powerhub2...for-motorcycles

Looks like a great idea. I like the way it reduces clutter on the battery terminals. Like you say, the size probably only works with airbox removed. I made a smaller more modest version which sits under the tank by the rear engine mount. It has 4 switched fused accessory controls for the accessories I wanted individual control over.
The Denali Powerhub2 connections are either always on or switched with ignition, which is good but I need more versatility with accessible individual switches for some accessories/circuits. Have a think about what how you want to control the power to each accessory.
My accessories & controls currently hard wired to the battery but I would put through the Powehub2 (if I had no airbox): - Heated gear connection - switched with ignition - Cigarette plug for iPhone charger - always on - Spare Powerlet plug (battery charging) - always on - Direct headlight harness - switched with ignition (but retaining the starter headlight cutout relay) - Headlight modulator.
In my switch box: - Boosteroo iPod amplifier - switched - GPS - switched - Voltmeter - wired on with ignition but a switch here to turn on when ignition is off to check battery status without starting the engine. - Bypass for low battery starter disabler - switched - when the battery falls below 12.6v the ECU disables the starter. This is a bypass for emergencies to engage the starter.
If, like me, you need individual switch control over some accessories/electrical circuits you could always add an inline switch somewhere handy.

Right, the position of the 30 Amp main fuse determines whether it's always on or switched. Right now I have heated gear connected straight to the battery posts and want to add power for the GPS. I think I would, like you, prefer to have the heated gear (Warm-n-Safe) controller and the GPS both in a switched mode. The battery charger could probably be connected straight to the battery posts or to the input side of the Hub. I like your idea of connecting the phone charger to an "always on" circuit. I wonder if there's a way to split the circuits inside the hub and put 2 30 amp fuses in?! Or, could just use the powered accessory plug under the tank. Thanks for the feedback!

I do the battery charging through the powered accessory port under the tank which I changed to a Powerlet jack. Here's a link to my thread on my custom switch box ... Switchbox forum thread
